Wearsos X UWC Costa Rica’s: Agents of Change Series

Recently, Wearsos had the privilege of engaging with the next generation of changemakers at UWC Costa Rica's esteemed Agents of Change series. This collaboration held special meaning for us, as both our co-founder, Christian Riquelme (UWC Costa Rica ‘09), and our intern, Ale (UWC Costa Rica ‘19), are proud alumni of this incredible institution. 

The education and leadership opportunities received at UWC Costa Rica opened doors for both alumni to pursue university education in the U.S. through scholarships, ultimately leading them back to Costa Rica to give back to the community.

Agents of Change is an initiative offered to UWC Costa Rica students designed to inspire and support them in transforming their ideas into impactful projects that drive positive social change in Costa Rica and beyond. Our team had a great time discussing the transformative power of education, circular economy, and women empowerment. This unique opportunity allowed us to share our journey, mission, and ambitious goals with passionate students poised to become tomorrow’s global leaders.

Education is a core pillar at Wearsos; it extends beyond our workshop into dialogues that inspire action. Students engaged eagerly during the Q&A session, voicing their enthusiasm and reflecting on how empowered they felt by our mission. Hearing their positive feedback reinforced our commitment to sustainable practices and fostering leadership.

True impact starts with sharing knowledge and experiences, it grows in collaboration. We hope these collaborations serve as seeds of inspiration, nurturing a shared vision of a better, more sustainable world. It was an honor to witness the energy and enthusiasm of these young leaders and contribute to their journey toward positive global change.
